ALAND ISLANDS 1984

Aland is an autonomous province of Finland.  

It is a group of islands in the Baltic at the mouth of the Gulf of Bothnia.
Separate issues began in 1984 although stamps of 

Finland continued to be valid.  

From 1 Jan 1993, Aland began its own postal administration 

and Finnish stamps ceased to have validity there.

These are the first issues.
